Form 1, Originating Application, must be used in all matters other than where Forms 2, 3, 4 or 5 are required under the Land Court Rules 2000 or declared by regulation under legislation giving jurisdiction for the proceeding to the Court.

A transition period will be allowed where the registry of the Land Court will accept the lodgment of an appeal under the Valuation of Land Act 1944 on either the approved Form 19 or the old Form 59 issued by the Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Water.
